Avid at the 2009 Oscars

There’s a great little piece up on the Avid web site about the 2009 Academy Awards, which were presented last night. It says:

We’re honored to announce that the industry’s best chose to use Avid products and solutions in the production of 5 out of 5 films nominated for major awards including: Best Motion Picture, Achievement in Film Editing and Achievement in Sound Editing. We’re proud to power the creation of the most watched, most listened to, and most loved work in the world.

I don’t know how many of the scores of the films honoured by the Academy this year were orchestrated or copied using Sibelius, but I’d be willing to bet it’s a handful.
