Philip demonstrating Sibelius at the recent NYU/ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop

I’ve been able to post about several opportunities to attend Sibelius training in northern California, so now it gives me great pleasure to be able to post about a forthcoming opportunity to attend training given by an expert Sibelius user in New York city on Saturday 25 September 2010. The trainer is Philip Rothman, a composer and music preparation specialist, and he’ll be running two courses at the Music Department of Hunter College at 695 Park Avenue. Admission is $125 if you book in advance, or $140 if you want to chance turning up on the day. Philip will be running two classes, and if you decide to attend both, you will receive the preferential rate of $200, a saving of $50.

Full details of the courses are available on NYC Music Service’s web site. If you go along, do let me know how it goes!

Very cool. I took a Sibelius training session in NY 2 1/2 years ago by Ernie Jackson and that was quite an eye opener. Off-topic, Hunter College is close to where I once lived (E 54th St between 1st and 2nd Ave), brings back good memories.
