Sibelius 7.0.2 update now available

Following hot on the heels of last week’s Sibelius 7.0.1 update, we have today made available a further free minor update to Sibelius 7, bringing it to version 7.0.2.

This update fixes a small number of specific bugs, including two that were inadvertently introduced in Sibelius 7.0.1:

Sibelius no longer crashes when using the ARIA Player, as used by Garritan sound libraries including Garritan Personal Orchestra 4 (GPO4), Garritan Jazz and Big Band 3 (JABB3) and Garritan Concert and Marching Band 2 (CoMB2).
Sibelius now respects the choice of printer made in the File > Print page, instead of always printing to the system default printer.
It is once again possible to use characters from regular text (i.e. non-symbol fonts) as symbols in Edit Symbols (Mac only)
The leading (line spacing) of multi-line text objects is now consistent between Windows and Mac
The on-screen appearance of stretched font characters, e.g. braces on piano and other grand staff instruments, has been improved (Windows only)

You can download Sibelius 7.0.2 here. Updaters are provided that will update either Sibelius 7.0 or Sibelius 7.0.1 to Sibelius 7.0.2, and as before, you can run the updater to update your 30-day trial version of Sibelius 7 if you wish.

Rune Pedersen August 24, 2011 at 11:57 PM: I still can’t input rhythm dots with the , button (European keyboard). Quite annoying. This was the one thing that was most looking forward to getting fixed.

Anyone else having the same problem after updating?

thomas echols September 1, 2011 at 6:13 PM: Just updated, and now I can’t seem to get the worksheet creator to work properly. It just keeps searching for materials without finding any.
Daniel Spreadbury September 1, 2011 at 10:14 PM: How long did you leave it? Try trashing the ‘Worksheet Creator’ folder in /Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Avid/Sibelius 7 (Mac) or C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Sibelius 7 (Windows), then restart Sibelius and let it have another go.
John Puddick September 2, 2011 at 9:53 AM: I am running the Sibelius 7 free 30 day trial [with 15 days to go]. On the start-up dialog box, one options “buy on-line” but it only takes me to a page advertsing upgrade to Sibelius 6, which I already have. Where can I find the price of upgrade to Sibelius 7?
